Representative of the Ministry of Science and Culture of the German State of Lower Saxony for University Cooperation between Lower Saxony and China
Cooperation with Chinese partners has become increasingly important for Lower Saxony's universities and research institutions. The large number of successful cooperation projects underlines a scientific partnership at eye level, which is not limited to individual disciplines and subject areas, but enables an open academic exchange.
The Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture supports the universities and universities of applied sciences of Lower Saxony in their cooperation efforts and accompanies the mutual exchange with great strategic interest. In October 2018, the former president of Clausthal University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Thomas Hanschke, has been appointed Representative of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture for university cooperation between Lower Saxony and China.
Prof. Hanschke has long-standing and trust-proven contacts in the Chinese scientific landscape and sees himself as an ambassador of the Lower Saxony universities to the Chinese partners.Prof. Dr. Thomas Hanschke
